FAQ

The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business

  • What does a typical service consist of?
Every time we come out to service your pool or hot tub, we clean the entire pool which includes scrubbing dirty areas, netting the debris from the surface, and vacuuming the bottom with our state of the art Riptide pool vacuum. We also do a full chemical balancing, testing your water for things like chlorine, salt, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Regular chemical balancing will help in n umerous ways including: - Prevention of algae and cloudy water - Safety for sensitive skin - Ensure a longer lasting pool surface
  • How often will you clean my pool?
This all depends on a few different factors. For pools that are frequently used, have multiple surrounding trees/shrubbery, and not covered often, we recommend a weekly service. For a simple hot tub that stays covered most of the time, we recommend a bi-monthly service.
  • How long does a typical service take?
A standard cleaning and balancing can range anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour.
  • Can you upgrade my system?
Yes! Here are some common upgrades we do: - Chemical automation system (Adds chlorine and acid periodically so your water stays safe and comfortable 24/7) - Change from a chlorine pool to a salt pool (Usually done for people who are sensitive to high amounts of chlorine) - More efficient pump (multiple settings, saves on energy)
  • What other types of charges can I expect?
Besides the standard cleaning/balancing fee, we also charge you for any chemicals we may need to add to keep the pool safe and comfortable. Depending on your filtraion system, we usually recommend a spring and winter filter cleaning.
  • Do I need to be home during servicing?
Only if you'd like! We like to maintain a friendly and trustworthy relationship with our clients, and most of the time we clean your pool and spa during the week so you can come home to a sparkling surprise!
